Hello Neighbors,
First and foremost, I wish you all a happy and healthy new year filled with much love and joy.
I am running for Mayor of Burlington because our city deserves a Mayor who will lead with transparency and integrity, and who will ensure that City Hall serves everyone in our community.
As a two-term City Councilor representing Ward 7, I have brought people together to solve common problems—from adding a new ambulance for the New North End because I believe public safety to be incredibly important; to the creation of the Office of Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (REIB) and the Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee, which required working in collaboration with community organizations to secure unanimous City Council support for this effort. Building on these results, I know that as a community we can recover from the COVID-19 crisis, revitalize our economy, and tackle tough issues like affordable housing and police accountability and we can do it together.
My promise to you is that my administration will be inclusive and work across party lines and wards to get things done. That’s also why I’m running as an Independent, because I believe that we do our best work in this city when we come together to solve problems together as neighbors and citizens and leave party labels at the door.
Without the backing of a major political party, I need your support and help to win in March. Will you join us in building a Burlington that is healthier and stronger, more just and inclusive? Together we can make Burlington the best small city in America.
