So, why are the Board members so important? The Postal Board of Governors sets the policy of the Postal Service and it hires, fires and holds accountable the Postmaster General.

We urgently need a Board majority that respects postal workers. We need strong advocates for a vibrant public Postal Service.

The current board not only hired the current Postmaster General, but has supported his mail-delaying policies.

Governors are nominated by the U.S. President and confirmed by the US Senate. With a new White House administration just days away, newly-elected President Joe Biden can fill four positions.
