Dear John,

For the first time ever, we have elected a president and Congress with a strong
climate mandate. However, the science tells us that we're running out of time
for meaningful climate action, and with the rollback of environmental safeguards
over the past four years, we must now double down on addressing the climate
crisis.

That’s why CCAN Action Fund is co-sponsoring a virtual town hall with
Congresswoman Kathy Castor, the chair of the House Select Committee on the
Climate Crisis. Congresswoman Castor is one of the House’s top climate voices,
and has been a champion of rational environmental policy for years.

On January 13th at 4pm, join a virtual town hall with the chair of the House
Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, Kathy Castor. We’ll learn how America
can solve the climate crisis.

Crises like COVID-19, and the increasing frequency of extreme events like floods
and fires, are showing us that we can’t afford to ignore science for even
another moment. This event will be an important opportunity to learn how we can
work together to effect change.

I urge you to join CCAN Action Fund and others across the country for an evening
of discussion around climate action. It’s time to push Congress to act on
climate. We must ensure our planet remains liveable for generations to come.
