Critical Quote
“Whether impeachment can pass the United States Senate is not the issue. The issue is we have a president who most of us believe participated in encouraging an insurrection and attack on this building, and on democracy and trying to subvert the counting of the presidential ballot.”
— House Majority Leader Stenny Hoyer (D-MD) |

Smiles
One of my favorite organizations is Headcount, a non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy. Headcount’s executive director Andy Bernstein came on my “Truth of the Matter” podcast a couple of weeks ago to talk about the work they do.
In the lead-up to the Georgia Senate runoff elections, Headcount worked hard to register voters in the state and held a free virtual concert called “Georgia Comes Alive.” This fantastic set by The Lame Ducks (Bob Weir, Dave Schools, Jeff Chimenti, Jay Lane) will give you a sense of the critical importance of Headcount’s mission
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHgOVK314sU. The set list isn’t bad either: Truckin’>The Other One>Ashes to Ashes.
I urge you to visit https://www.headcount.org/ to learn more about Headcount.
