Let me make this plain:

Donald Trump must be held accountable. He must resign immediately.

If he will not resign, Vice President Pence and the Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment.

If Pence won't do that, Donald Trump must be impeached.

What happened last week was a grave injury to our republic. Donald Trump deliberately sparked an insurrection—an attempted coup—by a riotous mob of his supporters. Violence came to the US Capitol.

This cannot go unanswered. It cannot be ignored.
