Friends,
Virginia’s current path to a renewable energy grid is way too slow. And it doesn’t even stop the buildout of fossil fuel infrastructure in the state. Although we saw some progress last year, it was just not enough.
This year, we’re going to make sure Virginia’s climate commitments follow climate science.
Pick up your phone TODAY to ask Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn, Virginia’s House Speaker, to support the Green New Deal Act and a fossil fuel moratorium!

Del. Sam Rasoul’s Green New Deal Act would commit Virginia to a just transition to a 100% clean, renewable energy grid that leaves no fossil fuel worker or environmental justice community behind.
Del. Mark Cole’s Fossil Fuel Moratorium Bill would protect ratepayers from funding new dirty energy projects that will only escalate the climate crisis while putting our environment and communities at risk for pollution.
Speaker Filler-Corn has the power to prioritize these bills and take them to the House floor before session ends. Tell Speaker Filler-Corn to prioritize the Green New Deal Act and fossil fuel moratorium by passing these bills this session!
The General Assembly session starts on Wednesday, January 13 and is only a month long. We have no time to lose!
Call 866-583-2908 to help us fight for a livable climate in Virginia by urging Speaker Filler-Corn to support a Green New Deal in 2021!
Each day Virginia goes without a fossil fuel moratorium and a commitment to a just transition to 100% clean renewable energy by 2036 is a step closer to climate disaster. Join us in our fight for a livable climate, clean air, and clean water in Virginia.
