Register to vote in the ADEMS Election!
The ADEMS election for California Democratic Party delegates is coming up soon, and it’s all vote-by-mail ([link removed][UNIQID]) —the safest and most convenient way to vote! Register for a vote-by-mail ([link removed][UNIQID]) ballot by TOMORROW, January 11.
ADEMS is the Assembly Delegate Assembly Meeting where delegates from each assembly district shape and lead the party in California for the next two years. The delegates are elected by YOU, the voter! Needless to say, it's extremely important you make your voice heard in this election!
You must be a registered Democratic voter to vote in this election. After you register, you will receive a ballot in the mail.
Once you have your ballot, read our blog post on how to fill it out ([link removed][UNIQID]) . Fill out your ballot and mail it back in time for it to be received before Wednesday, January 27.

What's this all about?
California Democratic Assembly District Delegates ([link removed][UNIQID]) (AD delegates) are responsible for working within the Democratic State Central Committee to shape the party’s platform on behalf of their community. There are 14 delegates from each California assembly district ([link removed][UNIQID]) . The delegates elected in each district represent the district in the Democratic Party conventions; those elected in the coming year will be your district’s representatives in 2021 and 2022.
AD Delegates vote within the CA Democratic Party on behalf of the community they represent. They can affect important California Democratic Party initiatives such as:
* Ballot proposition endorsements
* Electing California Democratic officers, including the Chair
* Endorsements for statewide offices
* The California Democratic State Party platform
We can move the Democratic party to progressive initiatives by electing Assembly District Delegates who represent those needs. And we're in luck: this year, the ADEMS election is all vote-by-mail. This is an excellent opportunity for you to affect the direction of the party without having to leave your home or stand in line.
