To my supporters- I'm grateful to all who've sent supportive messages to me and my staff in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on our nation's capitol. On my way home, I was aggressively confronted by a small mob of angry Trump supporters. It was a sad, disturbing week. Yet democracy prevailed. We completed our job and finished certifying the electoral college votes, certifying V.P. Joe Biden as our next President. Over the years, as an OC elected official, I’ve confronted much hate and bigotry advancing the civil rights of immigrants, LGBTQ community and others. Yes, we have paid the price. Last weeks tragic events remind us of our most important job of unifying our Nation. We all have much work to do.
