[[link removed]] Building a better democracy{SALUTATION~DEAR NAME OR FRIEND},
This is a historic decision. The Supreme Court has ruled that Prime Ministers
can’t shut down Parliament for as long as they wish. But here’s the thing: it
shouldn’t have had to be resolved this way.

Our constitutional arrangements are built on gentlemen’s agreements that have
totally broken down. And it leaves Parliament weak in the face of an overbearing
executive.

MPs cannot go back to business as usual: The outdated Westminster set-up needs a
complete overhaul – with greater sharing of power and clearer constitutional
rules that rebalance the system towards the public.

Now it’s time for MPs to launch a UK constitutional convention
[[link removed]] : one which involves citizens in shaping how to overhaul Britain’s undemocratic
system.

Sign our petition calling for a constitutional convention. Together we can
demand democracy.
