That's why Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team are spending this week focused on our plan to reduce emissions, protect a clean environment, and create good new jobs in clean tech.

Andrew Scheer’s Conservatives want to bury their heads in the sand, denying the science and hoping that other countries will step up. They have no plan to reduce emissions, no plan for jobs, no plan for the future. We can’t let Conservatives take us backward to the same failed policies and inaction of the Harper years, when pollution was free.

Your support has already made important progress possible, including putting a price on pollution, protecting our oceans, phasing out coal, and taking action to ban harmful single-use plastics by 2021 – but there’s much more to do.

Our commitment to Net-zero emissions

Liberal candidates Catherine McKenna, Jonathan Wilkinson, and Steven Guilbeault announced that a re-elected Liberal government will commit Canada to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
