Over the last several days, it has been reported that the president was withholding foreign aid from one of our allies before he pressured their leaders to interfere in our elections by attacking his political rivals.
If what’s reported is true, this would be a clear abuse of power and a danger to our national security and foreign policy.
Our presidential politics have no place in our relationships with other countries.
While the Senate agreed unanimously to a resolution calling for the whistleblower complaint to be turned over to Congress, we still don’t know if the administration will comply.
We need to protect the whistleblower, and the Director of National Intelligence must hand over the complaint to Congress immediately. No one is above the law.
