John,

Today is National Law Enforcement Day, and I wanted to take a moment to tell you how thankful I am for our nation’s law officers.

These men and women are a critical part of our everyday lives. I’ve met so many throughout my travels in western Minnesota. These officers are multifaceted in that they deal with everything from violent crimes to domestic disputes to teaching children about community safety. And they work hard to make sure our neighborhoods, cities, and state stay as safe as possible.

So today, please take a moment with me to thank our law enforcement officers.
