Marti here! Your adorable polar bear and friend of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network. We’re less than six weeks from our BRRRR-tual Polar Bear Plunge on February 13th, and I want to make sure you don’t miss it. Over 100 fellow climate activists have already signed up to help us fight climate change. We’re expecting this to be one of the biggest (virtual) celebrations CCAN has ever had. But that’s not the only reason I’m emailing you today. We’re announcing a special giveaway that I really think you’ll like.
Whether you dump a bucket of ice water on your head or wade into a nearby creek, how you plunge is up to you! There are tons of fun ways to take the plunge to “Keep Winter Cold.” My bear-y good friend and CCANer Jamie DeMarco will be jumping in the stream behind his house. And Lauren Landis of CCAN has the paw-fect plan: She’ll be inviting her neighbors to watch her jump into a kiddie pool of ice water in a fun winter spectacle.
If you sign up for the plunge and receive your first donation by January 12th, you’ll automatically be entered into the drawing. Want to triple your odds of winning? Plungers who raise at least $350 by February 12th will receive a second entry, and a third entry if they raise at least $1,000. The winner will be announced on the day of the plunge. Even though we can’t be together in person, the plunge must go on -- because the climate can’t wait. I hope you’ll take the plunge, P.S.
