Facts are facts.

80 million Americans turned out to elect Joe Biden this November -- the most votes cast for a presidential ticket in our nation’s history.

President Trump’s attempts to overturn the results of a legitimate presidential election are a blatant violation of the public trust and a threat to our democracy.

This is the time to choose country over party. But 139 House Republicans -- nearly two-thirds of the House GOP caucus -- have chosen to stand with President Trump and betray the will of the American people.

I will always uphold my oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And despite the desecration of our nation’s capital by domestic terrorists incited by Trump’s lies, Congress has done its duty to certify President-Elect Joe Biden’s electoral college victory.

President Trump has tried to burn down our country, but he will not succeed. Those members of Congress who have supported this anarchy do not deserve to represent their fellow Americans.

We must join together to stand up for our democracy,
