Trump’s latest abuse of power? Asking foreign governments to find out information about his political opponents. A national intelligence whistleblower has tried to provide evidence to Congress, likely documenting how Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, but Trump’s administration has covered this up, violating whistleblower laws. Now, even as his administration obstructs justice, Trump has admitted that he did in fact talk about his theories on Biden’s corruption with the Ukrainian President.[1]

This week, I joined fellow Congressmembers and activists who’ve been demanding that Congress begin the impeachment process.[2] Now, Speaker Pelosi has joined us in announcing the beginning of an official impeachment inquiry in the House. Day after day, we find out that the president and his administration are engaged in unconstitutional, unlawful activity. So we say: Enough is enough.

This past spring, I introduced a resolution for Congress to begin the impeachment process, starting with an official inquiry and investigation into Donald Trump’s illegal behavior. We’ve seen Trump’s reaction―repeatedly attempting to distract from his corrupt administration through hateful policies that hurt children, families, and working people—and through personal attacks on me and my colleagues, because we’re willing to stand up to his hate and corruption.

Now, Democratic leadership is joining us to hold Donald Trump accountable to the American people.
