The last few days have been difficult. Seeing a confederate flag waved in Congress for the very first time is gut-wrenching. The attempted coup was nothing less than a violent, domestic attack on our very democracy.

In the aftermath, Justice Democrats in Congress sprung into action to hold Republicans who incited violence accountable, push for Donald Trump’s immediate impeachment, and investigate Capitol police's role in allowing the mob to breach the Capitol building.

• Reps. Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley introduced articles to immediately impeach Donald Trump.
• Rep. Cori Bush will introduce legislation to expel Republicans who incited violence from Congress to hold them accountable for their actions.
• Rep. Jamaal Bowman is introducing the COUP Act to investigate how the terrorists were able to breach the Capitol.

Justice Democrats are the ones taking action to properly respond to Wednesday’s attack on our country. They are pushing the entire Congress to act.
