Students are failing at record rates this year due to shuttered schools and online classes that cannot provide the necessary support many children require. Parents are at a loss for what to do while their children are becoming withdrawn and failing classes they previously enjoyed.

Conservative legislators in Missouri have come up with one solution that parents can use to help support their children in their pursuit of education. Just one of the ideas they’re proposing allows students to attend another school than the one they’re zoned for – enabling students to attend in-person class if their own district school is online. Another proposal outlines a process to reimburse parents for things like “tutors, child care, and transportation due to COVID-19 [link removed] ” up to a certain amount.

This is bigger than now. This is about the future, and conservative lawmakers are forward-thinking in their approach to education.

Sincerely,
