Every person complicit in the attempted coup at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday must be held accountable.
Every member who knowingly perpetuated misinformation about the outcome of the November election bears responsibility for the violence that has claimed at least 5 lives. All those who aided and abetted this act of domestic terrorism should resign or be removed from Congress.
Those who encouraged Wednesday’s violence put the lives of their colleagues, staff, and workers in the Capitol at risk, and forfeited their right to conduct the people’s business. That’s why I’m joining my sister-in-service Cori Bush in demanding that the members who were complicit in the brutal events that took place on Wednesday be expelled from the House and the Senate.
