Dear Friend, On Monday evening, I was elected Chair of the Arlington County Board by my colleagues. It is an honor that I do not take lightly. The greatest responsibility we have as a Board and I have as Chair is to do all I can to keep Arlington residents safe and healthy. For our safety, I requested a curfew to keep the rioters from the Capitol from violence Wednesday night in Arlington. More on that below and later, when I am less worried about your health: broadly we were fine. Fou our health, our test positivity rate in Arlington is 11.5%, very concerning.
