Progressives warn that every minute without Trump's removal weakens our democracy and emboldens the far-right extremists and paramilitary groups that organized Wednesday’s assault on the Capitol.
“Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to our democracy—and he cannot be allowed to remain in office for even 12 more days,” said Stand Up America’s Sean Eldridge on Friday. “Congress must immediately hold Trump accountable for inciting a violent insurrection to undermine our democracy.”
