This week, we witnessed a white supremacist mob breach the U.S. Capitol to overturn the results of the presidential election. We watched a sitting president condone their actions and continue to attempt to delegitimize the votes of millions of Americans who elected to remove him from office. Lawmakers like Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley further fueled their delusions, inciting violence by repeating the false allegation that there was widespread voter fraud in the November election. 

Join URGE today and demand that lawmakers: 

1. Provide meaningful financial relief to every American 

2. Invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump 

3. Support Congresswoman Cori Bush’s resolution condemning efforts to overturn the presidential election; and 

4. Join fellow members of Congress in impeaching Trump if the Cabinet fails to invoke the 25th Amendment 

Make no mistake, these acts against democracy were committed in the name of white supremacy. Contrary to what many elected officials have said, this is exactly who America is. But it doesn’t have to be. 

By uniting to hold our elected officials accountable and to dismantle white supremacist laws and institutions, we can build a future — and a nation — in which there is truly justice for all.
