BREAKING: GERMANY PLEDGES TO BAN TOXIC WEEDKILLER GLYPHOSATE

EWG wants to expand its work on pesticides, and we need your feedback.

Take EWG’s quick survey and tell us YOUR thoughts on pesticide use in the United States.

Dear friend,

Holy cow – this is big news: Germany announced it would ban glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup. This comes just after Austria announced a total ban of the pesticide in early July.

Germany took this step because research shows the toxic weedkiller to be linked to cancer in people. It’s also a threat to pollinators like bees. It’s bad for our health and bad for our planet.

In the U.S., the Environmental Protection Agency is doing the opposite. They’ve kowtowed to Monsanto, now part of Bayer, and protected glyphosate time and again. They’ve even tried to obscure studies on glyphosate’s health impacts.

But EWG is not backing down. We’re ramping up our advocacy work on toxic pesticides like glyphosate, pressuring companies to stop the use of the toxic weedkiller, and testing products so that you know where it’s found.

We’re already looking ahead to our plans for 2020 and urgently need you to weigh in.

Should the U.S. follow the lead of Germany and Austria and pledge to ban glyphosate?

YES
NO

Thanks for your feedback, friend.
