The remaining days until Joe Biden’s inauguration may be some of the most fraught and vulnerable this nation has seen in modern history. The United States has no chief executive. Donald Trump has vacated his ability to govern by his encouragement of domestic terror, resulting in the storming of the Capitol. 

An assault on the very halls of democracy by the president must lead to his removal from power. Anything less amounts to tacit support of the methods and rhetoric he has displayed.
