John,

It has been made abundantly clear that Donald Trump represents a clear and present danger to the safety and security of the United States. We are joining the bipartisan calls for his immediate removal from office, either through exercising the 25th amendment or impeachment.

From urging the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by” to telling the violent mob occupying the U.S. Capitol, “We love you, you’re very special,” Trump has consistently encouraged and enabled violence from his supporters. He bears responsibility for this violent attack on our democracy that resulted in at least five deaths.

The cabinet and the Vice President can and should invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump. Section 4 of the 25th Amendment makes it clear that a President can be temporarily removed from office, if the Vice President and a majority of Cabinet members inform Congress that he is incapable of serving his duties.

If that is not accomplished, we demand Congress return to work and immediately impeach and remove Trump from office. Articles of impeachment have been drafted and are waiting for introduction.

Add your name to demand that all federal officials with the power to remove Trump from office—Congress, the cabinet, the Vice President—immediately do so through the means offered them in the constitution.
