First, let me thank you and all the other good people who
contributed to our year-end appeal- we raised $33,273, a good
bit over our goal.
It's so important we carry that momentum over into this new year.
Here's the latest on our accountability
work.
Emails show Samuel Randazzo used an account associated with
his FirstEnergy-backed private firm, The Sustainability Funding
Alliance of Ohio, to communicate about House Bill 6 & anti-wind
power legislation while PUCO and Ohio Power Siting Board chairman.
We said all along that Randazzo's anti-renewable energy bias
would prevent him from serving fairly as Ohio's top utility regulator.
It was no surprise to us when the FBI raid on his home and news of
FirstEnergy's $4 million payment to someone clearly fitting his
description resulted in his resignation. Now there's even more proof
of his inappropriate and unhelpful meddling.
Governor Mike DeWine will choose Randazzo’s
replacement within the next week, and we need your help to protect Ohio
from another PUCO Commissioner with ties to corrupt
utilities.
The Governor needs to know Ohioans are invested and paying
attention as he makes this critical decision. Please don't delay in
sending him the message.
Thanks again and Happy New Year!
