Donald Trump is a threat to the United States of America. He always has been. In fact, the last four-plus years led to the catastrophic scene at the Capitol yesterday.

President Trump summoned supporters to Washington DC and directed an assault on our temple of democracy to overturn the will of the people in his name. I'm calling for Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet secretaries to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Donald Trump from office. Further, I'm signing on to new Articles of Impeachment in the House of Representatives. His seditious actions violate his oath of office to protect the Constitution and threaten the safety of Americans.

Every moment Donald Trump remains in office is a threat to our national security and to the rule of law. He has to be removed. Immediately.
