"Enough is enough"
This week, No Labels and National Co-chair Gov. Larry Hogan strongly condemned the assault on our capitol on Wednesday. See below for a statement from No Labels, the official statement from the Problem Solvers Caucus, and comments from Gov. Hogan at his press conference.

Statement from No Labels

"This is such a dark day for America. The violent siege on our Capitol is an assault on American democracy. President Trump—with his continued refusal to accept the will of the voters and his incitement of his supporters—unleashed this chaos. And the statement the president just released in which he told his supporters to “go home,” even as he continued to peddle his false conspiracy about a “stolen” election—is an embarrassment to the office and the country. The election is over. The people have spoken. America has too many serious problems—a pandemic chief among them—for this charade to continue any longer."

Statement from the Problem Solvers Caucus

“The behavior we witnessed in the U.S. Capitol is entirely un-American. This was not a peaceful protest – this was an insurrection. These individuals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The American people can rest assured that we will finish our work, certify the results of the 2020 election, and ensure a peaceful transition of power. Our democracy is stronger than the destructive behavior of any mob and will survive today’s egregious behavior.”

Gov. Larry Hogan Press Conference

“The mob may have shattered the glass, but they did not and will not, shatter our democracy..."

Why Buy American Usually Doesn't Buy Us Much
By Zane Heflin

"As President-elect Joe Biden prepares to take office, the United States is still reeling from the worst economic shock since the Great Depression. The U.S. unemployment rate has dropped from an April high of 14.7% to 6.9% as of November 2020, but the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the nation has slowed the recovery and increased small-business shutdowns and layoffs. Biden has laid out his “Build Back Better” economic agenda, which calls for massive domestic investment and a goal of reviving American manufacturing jobs, 5 million of which have been lost since 2000."
