A prayer read at the swearing-in of GOP State Auditor Troy Downing went off the rails when Republicans insisted on shoehorning in references to conspiracy theories ranging from the evil “Deep State” to oft-disproven claims that Biden stole the 2020 election.
The GOP is so far gone that they can no longer differentiate between the radical right’s online conspiracies and what is appropriate for a swearing-in prayer.
