White supremacists attacked the U.S. Capitol after Donald Trump and some Republican members of Congress incited violence in an attempt to stop the certification of the presidential election.
Cori, our team, and everyone who was trapped in the Capitol are safe. But after seeing this disgraceful, disgusting coup attempt, Cori jumped right into action.
She announced that she will be introducing a resolution calling for the expulsion of the Republican members of Congress who have incited this coup by supporting Trump's attempts to overturn the election.
But Cori can't pass such a monumental piece of legislation alone. We're going to need as much support as we can muster, which is why Cori set out to get as many citizen co-sponsors of her bill as possible (more than 300,000 since Wednesday night!).
