Twenty years of the Human Rights Act: a Scottish Perspective, the JUSTICE Scotland’s Annual Human Rights Day Lecture, will take place over Zoom on 21 January at 5:30pm .

Over the evening, our panel will discuss the impact and future of the Human Rights Act, focussing on:

  • The original aim of the Human Rights Act presented by Professor Jim Murdoch
  • The view from the courts presented by Lord Hope of Craighead KT
  • The development of a human rights culture presented by Shelagh McCall QC
  • The future for human rights in Scotland presented by Professor Nicole Busby
