Friends,

We know yesterday was a tough day for this country, but we believe a new era is coming focused on healing and coming together. This starts with our promised inaugural ceremonies, which will be the most ambitious and innovative in our nation's history -- moments that capture the rich diversity of America by integrating traditional elements with creative programming and local events across the country.

But what exactly does any of that mean for you and the 155 million Americans who made their voices heard in this election? For your reference, we've answered some of the most frequently asked questions surrounding the forthcoming inauguration, and what you can expect:

Q: Just for clarity, when is the inauguration again?
A: Thanks for checking! The historic Biden-Harris inauguration is scheduled for January 18-20, 2021.

Q: Wait, the inauguration is three days long?
A: Here's a daily breakdown for you:

On January 18 -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day -- President-elect Biden, Vice President-elect Harris, and millions of our friends across the country will join forces for Together We Serve, a national day of action to lift up our communities and serve our neighbors.

On January 19, there will be a Memorial to Lives Lost, honoring the neighbors, friends, and loved ones we have lost to COVID-19 while paying tribute to the strength, courage, and patriotism of the healthcare and frontline workers who have risked their own health to serve those in need.

And on January 20, we honor the peaceful transfer of power as the President-elect and Vice President-elect are officially sworn into office. The inaugural presidential escort will take place that afternoon, followed by a televised celebration hosted by the new President and Vice President later that evening.
Q: How can I participate in this inauguration from where I already am?
A: Excellent question!

For January 18's Together We Serve, the Presidential Inaugural Committee website has information on meaningful ways to take part in local community service projects and excellent partner organizations that make it easy to give back.

Stay tuned to your inbox as we'll be sending you links and ways to join in on programming both traditional and new this year -- including a new take on the iconic inaugural parade.

And, as a non-profit organization, the Presidential Inaugural Committee remains in need of your assistance to carry out some of our most ambitious programming.
We're still in search of grassroots sponsors to cover costs for others who simply can't at the moment. Can you donate $25 or anything you can, and help fund the beginning of our new national journey?
