Yesterday, in an attempt to overthrow our democratic process, Donald Trump encouraged a mob of domestic terrorists to storm our Capitol.
 
It’s even more starkly clear than ever before that Trump -- and the Republicans who egg him on -- have no business in public office.

John, what we witnessed yesterday repulsed every single one of us at Democratic Headquarters.
 
We, along with the rest of the nation and the world, watched in horror and disgust as domestic terrorists stormed our Capitol building.
 
But not all of us were disgusted. CNN just reported Donald Trump was “enthusiastic” watching his supporters wreak havoc and trample on our Constitution.
 
Trump -- and his Republican enablers, like Sens. Cruz and Hawley -- loved watching this group of white supremacists try to violently overthrow the will of the people and our fair and free elections.
 
Thankfully, they failed because our democratic process is stronger than Trump’s domestic terrorists.
 
John, we’ve been saying this for the 1,448 days Trump has occupied the Oval Office: Donald Trump has absolutely no business being our president.
 
And yesterday’s riot once again proves Trump will go down as the most dangerous president in history.
 
We cannot let Trump and his Republicans’ attacks on our democracy go on for one second longer.
 
We must join together like never before to CONDEMN Trump in the strongest way possible.
