Yesterday was one of the darkest days in American history.

A violent mob attacked our Capitol -- and the president incited and encouraged their failed insurrection to stop the certification of a free and fair election. President Trump has violated his oath of office.

He is not fit to lead for one minute longer. For the good of the country, the 25th Amendment should be invoked, and Trump should be removed from office immediately.

The 25th Amendment states that the president can be removed by the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet -- and I support taking this action to protect our democracy.
