Yesterday's deadly violence at the U.S. Capitol was something I never thought I’d see in America. It was the culmination of four years of conspiracy theories, misinformation, and outright lies.

The person responsible for inciting yesterday's insurrection was Donald Trump.

Make no mistake, the rioters who attempted to overthrow our government yesterday were acting on Trump’s orders. But they were supported by a party of radical Republicans - like Amanda Chase - who fuel their worst instincts, spout hate, and refuse to tell the truth.

Trump has to go. Join me in calling on Vice President Mike Pence to immediately invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office now.

America cannot afford to wait while domestic terrorists are empowered by the President of the United States. This isn’t the first time Trump has incited violence in our streets, and his ‘love’ for these violent extremists makes him a continuing threat to our democracy.

Joe Biden will be sworn in as our next President in less than two weeks. That's 13 days too long for Donald Trump to continue to be in charge of our military, our police, and our national security.

Vice President Pence must invoke the 25th and remove Trump today.
