Dear John,
Yesterday afternoon, thousands of violent insurrectionists stormed the Senate building and interrupted the procedural certification of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.1 Shots were fired into the Senate chamber, leaving one woman dead. Senators, staffers, and building employees feared for their lives as Trump-crazed gunmen took over the offices.2 All because Twitter has allowed Donald Trump to use their platform to organize and facilitate yesterday’s chaos. What will it take?
We first demanded that Twitter ban Trump in 2017 when he used the platform to escalate nuclear war. Since then, he’s used Twitter to target private citizens, lie about the coronavirus pandemic, threaten peaceful protesters with violence, and falsely accuse states of illegal voter fraud. Twitter has provided Trump with a megaphone to manipulate and misinform millions, inspire hate crimes, and embolden violent white supremacist terrorism. For weeks, white supremacists and hate groups have openly schemed in preparation for yesterday, planning for violent confrontations and threatening elected officials that stood in their way. Now, we’ve reached a pitch-level of chaos and violence. Enough is enough. #KickTrumpOffTwitter
John, join us in demanding that Twitter PERMANENTLY suspend Trump's account!
Until justice is real,

Dear John,
Trump is adamantly opposed to mail-in elections because it would increase voter participation,1 and he’s being powered by Twitter to spread mass voter misinformation. Trump has always used his Twitter page to spread lies to his 80 million followers, and during the global crisis his tweets can reach an increased audience.2 Last week, he falsely accused the state of Michigan of illegal voter fraud, calling the Secretary of State rogue and threatening to withhold funding to the state.3 Trump’s outlandish tweets are bound to further endanger the state government which recently faced armed protesters taking over the state capitol.
It’s time for Twitter to finally kick Trump off Twitter. It was bad enough when he instigated a nuclear war against North Korea, bullied politicians, and lied about the impact of coronavirus. Spreading misinformation clearly violates Twitter’s policies. By allowing him unlimited access to its platform, Twitter is essentially telling Trump he does not have to follow any of their rules and he thrives on that. To make matters worse, elections in many states will rely on the very mail-in ballots that Trump is falsely tweeting about. His ability to spread mass voter misinformation on Twitter will only aid his plans of being re-elected. Americans have suffered enough under the Trump Administration. The global crisis has exposed more than ever how Trump’s lies throughout the pandemic have led to countless preventable deaths of Americans, most notably Black people. It’s time for Twitter to take a real stand for the well-being of the people that power its platform.
Demand that Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey finally ban Donald Trump from its platform!
Until justice is real,
