Yesterday’s violence in our nation’s capital—carried out by an angry mob of armed white supremacists—was an attack on our country, our people, and all of the rights and freedoms we hold dear. This is what treason looks like.

This attempted coup is a direct result of Trump stoking fear, spreading disinformation, and emboldening anti-democratic white supremacists.

We must demand Congress IMPEACH Trump and remove EVERY Republican responsible for inciting these attacks on our democracy. [[link removed]]

There’s no doubt who is to blame for this dangerous attempt to thwart democracy: A failed president and his Republican enablers in power who refuse to accept the will of the millions of Americans who turned out in historic numbers to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House. Impeaching Trump will prevent him from holding federal office again—a critical step to restoring our democracy and ensuring that someone who stokes white supremacy and violence can’t hold federal office.
