Dear Friend,

 

Yesterday was a heartbreaking day for America.

 
We witnessed an attack on democracy itself, incited by leaders (including a President of the United States) who know this kind of assault is deeply destructive. In the end, the attackers failed. And they will always fail, as long as we continue to meet lies with truth. Here's today's most important truth: The 2020 election was honest and legitimate. Period. 
 
What next? There's no easy answer. We have a lot of reckoning to do. And we have a lot of healing to do. I'm committed to use my voice to help undo the damage and help restore confidence in our democratic systems.
