John, Yesterday we witnessed something neither of us would have ever expected to see in our lifetimes. In fact, the last U.S. Capitol breach was in 1814—more than 200 years ago—and that was by the British, not American citizens claiming to be patriots. What happened yesterday in Washington D.C. was outrageous, and it goes to show how important it is to have responsible, empathetic, unifying leaders. That was not the kind of leadership we witnessed yesterday—or over the last four years. John, I’d imagine you’re as horrified as I am by the emboldened nationalism, racism, and divisiveness we’ve experienced. And I’d imagine you know that even with Joe Biden in the White House, we'll have a lot of work to do. That work starts here. With us. With Allentown. We may be a grassroots campaign, but together we are powerful—and we need you with us, John. Will you help us create change in Allentown by making a contribution to my campaign today? Every dollar gets us closer and closer to getting on the primary ballot in May, and ultimately, the general election ballot in November. I don't know what will happen in these next few weeks in Washington or throughout the country, but I know that here in Allentown, I'll be working harder than ever to make sure our community is heard and cared for. That's the kind of person I am, and that's the kind of mayor I will be. Are you with me, John? With hope and gratitude,
