[1]Women's March
John,
We just witnessed an attempted coup by Trump’s white nationalist
supporters in broad daylight.
Frankly, we aren’t surprised. Donald Trump and his GOP enablers created
the terror in the Capitol today with their baseless lies and conspiracy
theories.
Trump called for a rally in D.C. today hoping this would happen. He gave
the order to his supporters to “stand back and stand by” – and they
listened.
The peaceful transfer of power is the cornerstone of our democracy. Trump
has refused to accept the results of the election and he must be impeached
for violating his oath of office. He cannot be allowed to hold elected
office ever again.
We’re calling on Congress to protect the American people and our democracy
by impeaching and removing Trump immediately.

Every day that Trump remains in office puts our country in danger – as we
saw crystal clearly today. It is the job of Congress to keep us safe and
set a precedent that this behavior is unacceptable.
The only appropriate response to Trump’s refusal to accept the results of
the election is immediate impeachment.
But Trump isn’t only to blame for today’s terror. Trump’s baseless lies
were only able to take hold with the help of his GOP enablers like Sen.
Ted Cruz (TX), Sen. Josh Hawley (MO), Sen. Ron Johnson (WI), Rep. Kevin
McCarthy (CA-23), and many others who amplified his conspiracy theories.
These members of Congress must be held accountable as well for choosing
political allegiance over facts and our constitution.
[ [link removed] ]Add your name now to our petition to demand accountability and show the
rest of the world that we will defend our democracy.
Nothing like this has happened in modern history, and we cannot overstate
how dangerous these right-wing insurrectionists are.
Together we must condemn today’s events and build a vocal majority calling
for impeachment. Every signature helps amplify our demand to Congress.
Thank you for speaking out and please be safe and take care of your loved
ones.
