Right now, this country is in the middle of a storm. A storm brought about by the corruption and malfeasance of the president and his allies.

This is a critical moment in our country's history. Generations yet unborn will look back at this time and wonder what we did to reverse the damage that has been done to our country. I want them to know I took a stand to save the soul of our democracy.

It is for this reason I support impeachment inquiries.

In admitting to withholding federal aid to Ukraine, encouraging a foreign power to dig up dirt on a political rival, and attacking a whistleblower, President Trump admitted to jeopardizing our national security -- a fundamental corruption of his office and the Constitution.

If we want to make it through this storm and see better days, we're going to have to do the work. Together we can take back the country we love and set it on a better path.

But that only happens if we work together.
