In 2016, Republicans won Georgia by 5 points. In 2018, they barely held on. Last night, they lost.
In 2020, Republicans won Texas by 5 points. In 2022, it will be very close. Beyond that, anything is possible.

But what's most important about the victory in Georgia is not that one party replaced another.
The most important thing is that Georgians, no matter their race or where they come from, will now have leaders that will work for better health care, jobs with dignity, and more of what they need to survive this pandemic. Texans deserve the same.
Today, Georgians are waking up to headlines that might have seemed impossible just a few short years ago - and their state will be a better place because of it. If we stay focused and fight like hell through the next few years, we can see those same headlines here in Texas.
