Safe Gatherings Online Ministry Module Available for Currently Approved Safe Gatherings Users
Safe Gatherings updated its training course last fall to address the challenges and best practices when conducting online ministry. The module was available to currently approved users for 90 days, and it is now included as part of the Safe Gatherings training. Not everyone had a chance to review the module so Safe Gatherings is providing the module again, available until February 20. The module discusses abuse prevention considerations for conducting online meetings, technology challenges and solutions, boundary awareness situations in terms of virtual ministry, and more. All currently approved applicants can review the new material by logging in to their Safe Gatherings account. Approved Safe Sanctuaries users do NOT have access to this module. The Missouri Conference encourages adult volunteers to consider going ahead and becoming recertified through Safe Gatherings given the relevancy of this training module to local church ministry. If your organization is not already using Safe Gatherings, please get started. Visit SafeGatherings.com or visit https://www.moumethodist.org/safesanctuaries to learn more about the Missouri Conference’s transition to Safe Gatherings.
