Candidates win *because* of their prochoice values -- not in spite of them
Friend —
What a way to start the new year!
Georgia voters once again showed up for justice, healthcare, reproductive freedom, and election integrity; despite the many obstacles of both circumstance and targeted intent.
We're particularly excited about the election of #VOTEPROCHOICE endorsed candidate Reverend Raphael Warnock, a true prochoice champion and critical leader in the fight to save reproductive freedom.
Thank you to the dozens of 2020 #VOTEPROCHOICE endorsed candidates in Georgia who made all the difference in this race. Whether they won their election in 2020 or not, these community leaders didn't skip a beat -- turning around from a grueling election of their own only to show up and organize for this victory in full force.
Winning these races was a crucial step in protecting reproductive freedom in 2021 and beyond, but the work is far from over. State houses and courts across the country are occupied by anti-choice extremists, newly emboldened by the confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
It's time to take a breath, celebrate, and then recommit to the work. Together, we can hold our elected officials accountable to ensure that everyone from the White House to city hall upholds and protects reproductive freedom.
