It's on: House Democrats are moving forward with the process to impeach
Donald Trump.
The allegation? That he used nearly $400 million in foreign aid to
blackmail a U.S. ally into helping him smear a political opponent.^1
If this doesn't qualify as "high crimes and misdemeanors," nothing does.
The number of Democrats supporting action on impeachment is growing by the
hour. We have to act fast while momentum is on our side—to make sure that
Democrats don't back down, and that the American people know exactly what
Trump did before Fox News smothers the truth in an avalanche of lies.
We’re launching an urgent campaign to raise $250,000 in the next 72 hours,

The latest revelations are so far beyond the pale that Congress no longer
has any choice but to uphold the rule of law and begin impeachment
proceedings now. And it seems that the damn has broken, with more than 180
members of Congress coming out in support of impeachment and Nancy Pelosi
finally changing her tune and announcing her support for a full-throated
impeachment inquiry.
In July, Trump froze $391 million in military aid to Ukraine—money the
country desperately needs to defend against Russian incursions.^2
Just days later, he called the president of Ukraine and pressured him
eight times in a single phone call to launch a bogus corruption
investigation into Joe Biden and his son.^3
Trump and his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, have essentially admitted these
facts.^4 A White House whistleblower filed a complaint that Trump’s own
appointee confirmed was urgent and credible—a complaint that by law must
go to Congress but is being blocked by Trump.^5
We know what comes next: Trump will call it a witch hunt and Fox News will
launch a massive propaganda push to convince their viewers that he’s
right.
To uphold the rule of law, we must not let Trump's lies overcome the
facts. And the best way to get the truth is through an impeachment
inquiry.
MoveOn is fighting back with our own major campaign: We're flooding
Congress with calls, running ads, pounding the pavement in D.C., and
pushing to get the facts out. Since we can’t count on the media, we’re
going around them by cutting a series of powerful and shareable videos and
then using ads and our massive social media network to spread the word
online. And then next week, we'll launch a massive week of action across
the country while members of Congress are on recess.
