Mike Garcia's latest political stunt is perhaps his most outrageous yet. On Monday, he announced that he'll join the most shamefully partisan members of his party and object to the certification of the Electoral College votes.

Let's be very clear about this: What these members of Congress are planning to do is seditious. It is illegal. And it is fundamentally at odds with our American democracy.

These hyper-partisan politicians have decided that their voices are more important than the voters -- the people they are elected to represent.
