2021 is certainly off to a difficult start. We know the news of the lockdown might have come as a shock and that things might be feeling heavy right now. It's more important than ever that we try to be kind to ourselves and find ways to support our wellbeing as best as we can.
Through
A Year in Our Lives ([link removed]) , we're collecting real stories of the pandemic, creating a truthful record of what it was like to live through these immensely challenging times. People involved in the project so far have told us how helpful, and even therapeutic, they found the process of writing about their experiences. Read all the pieces so far ([link removed]) .
Whether writing your thoughts down is part of your daily routine, or something you've never done before, now could be a great time to reflect on what the past year, and ongoing disruption to our lives, has meant for you and your mental health.
Add your voice to the people's history of Covid-19.

Testimonies from contributors
"Writing my feelings down really did help me sort out where my anxiety was coming from. Being open and honest with myself as well as others has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders."
“It was good to write about stuff that mattered - very cathartic... More than that, poetry and prose can be a way of coming at things differently. It can be part of the healing that you never knew was happening inside you.”
