Growth data is crucial to understanding how COVID-19 impacted student progress and ensuring every student gets the support they need to get back on track for success. The suspension of 2020 assessments is a roadblock for measuring growth, but it’s not the end of the road: states can and should continue to measure student growth in 2021.
