Friends, history was made last night.

We’re officially sending Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to represent Georgia in Washington, securing the last two seats we needed to flip the Senate and end Mitch McConnell’s reign as Majority Leader.

Every member of this movement should feel an incredible sense of pride. In the days and weeks following the November election, our team of volunteers sprung into action — texting and calling voters in Georgia we identified as veteran or military families, having important conversations about issues that matter to our communities and making sure they knew where and how to vote in these runoff elections.

Our organizing program — fueled by grassroots donations big and small from emails just like this one — was a critical piece of the historic puzzle that helped to deliver these victories.

Our work is not over. In many ways, it’s just beginning. Today our newly inaugurated Congress will vote to certify the 2020 election results. President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and their teams will get to work planning for their inaugurations and more importantly, how they will begin to lead us out of the darkness of the last four years.

Donald Trump posed a unique threat to everything we stand for, and at every turn we were there — holding him accountable, fighting for our values, defending our country, sharing our stories, and lifting each other up.

Now, with Democratic control of the House, Senate, and White House, we can finally get to the important work of addressing the COVID-19 crisis responsibly, ensuring veterans and military families have access to the health care and benefits they deserve for their service, and fighting for a better future for all.
