Dear Friend,
Where is the campus debate on immigration?
On this policy issue, as on so many others, our colleges and universities have forgone their public duty to give students the opportunity to research and learn. Instead, the higher education establishment speaks with one voice, stifling debate.
Why does American higher education advocate such a singular perspective?
What consequences does higher education's singular voice on immigration policy have on research produced by our institutions of higher learning?
What effect does this campus orthodoxy have on the policy debate among our nation’s citizens?
How do we rebalance the narrative so that our colleges and universities take seriously the threat posed by our nation’s advisories abroad?
Join the National Association of Scholars on January 7th at 2 pm ET, for the launch of a new report, Rebalancing the Narrative: Higher Education, Border Security, and Immigration, which discusses the various dimensions of immigration policy and suggests topics for debate. Professor George R. La Noue, the report’s author, intends for this report to give students and professors the tools to have informed discussions separate from the pro-immigration lines preached by their institutions.
