Hey Team, Only a few days into the 117th Congress and Yvette is already working hard to make sure that the people of Brooklyn have a strong voice in their government. Yvette is advocating for more accountability for tech giants and working to create sustainable solutions on the Energy and Commerce committee. Not only that, but we are anxiously awaiting the results of Georgia’s runoff elections. Controlling the House, Senate, and White House means that we can stop the gridlock in Washington and get COVID-19 relief to the American people. But, no matter what happens in Georgia, Republicans will spend the next two years targeting toss-up districts and raising dark money from Super PACs and billionaires. They will try to ensure that they take back their majorities, and we can’t let that happen.
Throughout the last year, Yvette fought every day to ensure that she was working on what Brooklyn needed. That meant eviction moratoriums found in the CARES Act, stimulus checks, and funding for local governments to make sure that programs and food banks had what they needed to support our communities. Yvette will continue to fight for you, team, during this pandemic and after. She has dedicated her life to public service and for that we are grateful.
Thanks, Ross
